This shuttle is the third out of five fully operational NASA orbiters built in the Space Shuttle Program.
It first launched on August 30, 1984 from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, and landed on September 5 1984 at Edwards Air Force Base in California. It then continued in service for another 27 years. The job of this space shuttle was to deploy three communications satellites for the International Space Station. It also carried the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit!
